Details. Details. Details. I am so excited to finally share Meghan and Nathan’s beautiful wedding! They were so much fun to work with and I absolutely loved every ounce of attention to detail they took into planning their wedding. From finding the perfect wedding dress but hemming it up to make it tea length, to the dried lavender, to the crickets on and in the grooms cake! Yes, you read that correctly, crickets. 😉  I was told by Thao Nguyen, my wonderful second shooter, that they tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I’ll take her word for it 😉  Did I forget to mention Meghan’s dad barbecued all the meat for the evening? In his 10′ long smoker trailer that he drove around downtown for a few minutes inadvertently taunting people with the amazing smell?!

It was such a wonderful evening and I feel so honored to have been a part of it.

Many congratulations to Meghan and Nathan! Thank you again for having us capture your day!

The best feeling is when you meet a couple for the first time and you just click (no pun intended). This is how I felt when I met Rachel & Russ. They’re such a sweet couple with great sense of humor!

I still not sure what I love more – the beautiful veil Rachel painstakingly made or watching Russ trying to carry it. Hahaha.

What an amazing year 2012 was! I had a baby, got married (to the same man, again) and decided to leave the wedding photo company I was working for and just work for myself. It was a tough decision but as we all know life happens so quickly and we want to make sure to experience as much of it we can.

As cliche as it sounds, I never really understood what it felt like to truly love someone more than myself until my daughter was born. She is my life. My everything.

And because of her, I will only be taking a certain number of weddings a year.

That being said, what better way to start off a new blog, solely about weddings, than photos of this adorable couple!
